My name is Adrian Shirk. I was born on a stifling hot Labor Day in Brooklyn, 1988. I was raised in Portland, Oregon, collectively, by musicians and social workers. I write short fiction, long poems, family mythology, performance literature, call-and-response, and how-to’s. Currently, roughly twenty years later, I am back in Brooklyn, New York at Pratt Institute. This started as a blog-away-from home, and now it’s my house. Welcome. Feel free to slap me around a bit, tell me something new & wild. There are parlor games, refreshments, and links to some of my work [on the kitchen table.] Also [in the living room there are links to some fine people & resources who may further inspire & provoke you.
